Subject: KG copper cleaner

Joe
I have an 03A3 in 308 that fouls with copper like no other rifle I own. It's
set up for 1,000 yd so I need to be meticulous in the cleaning, it has never
seemed to smooth out even after nearly 1,000 rds. so this was a good test.
I went through 8 patches with the carbon remover, it just kept pulling it
out forever it seemed like. Then I used the copper solvent which required 5
patches. Bottom line, there is no copper whatsoever left in the barrel. It
was necessary for me to clean from both ends of this barrel as the fouling
is always especially heavy at the muzzle and contact with the patch needed
to be more aggressive there, but it removed it slick as a whistle as they
say. Normally I would spend close to a couple of hours on this but I
estimated it took 25 minutes and this is a HARD CASE RIFLE my friend.
Congratulations on a great product that was sorely needed by shooters THAT
DOESN'T ATTACK THE STEEL ! This is a must use item for anyone interested in
getting the best accuracy possible from a firearm. I believe you will enjoy
much success with this product, again Joe, congratulations.

Best Regards

I just placed an order for your Leather-Kote and wanted to tell you what an outstanding product it is.  Brodie Seehuetter had sent me some and because of it, this Cowboy Action Shooter was able to utilize two holsters which would have otherwise been hung up on the wall.  I could not draw the pistols out of the holsters but after just one application of the Leather-Kote I was able to turn the holsters up-side down and the guns would fall out...exactly what I was looking for!  I will be telling all the other "cowboys"  about this product and you will probably be getting some business in the future from our group.  Thanks so much for a wonderful product!

Joe-

I placed an order and asked if you could please expedite the shipping. I received the order today and I wanted to take a minute to thank you for getting that out so quickly. I know it was not a huge order for you guys but, the fact that you made that extra effort to help out even a "small" guy like me means a lot. I will definitely tell all my friends about the outstanding products and stellar customer service offered at KG.

Once again, thank you for making such a great product and the awesome customer service.

You have won a customer for life.

Kindest Regards-
Chris Sharman

Subject: testimonial on Gun-Kote

 Dear Joe,

I enjoyed talking to you at the 2007 Shot Show.

I began using Gun-Kote when your company was called "Kal-Guard".  Back then the cans were green & black.  My inventory records don't go back far enough to when I first ordered, but the second time I ordered your company was located in Sepulveda, California.  I was so impressed the first time I used Gun-Kote the my second order was over a dozen cases and I had a special oven made to apply it.  As best as I can guess I have been using Gun-Kote for over 20 years.  Metal prep is easy and the coating is almost indestructible.  I have coated many guns and have never had a return.  I have had customers say they even leave their deer rifles in their covered hunting blinds for a week.  I have done shot guns for duck hunters and they all say its ideal for duck guns.  Thank you for making a product that works so well.

Here you go. It started out as a standard Springfield Mil-Spec 1911-A1. With the Wilson Parts and the great finish, I love it!

Dear KG
Seventeen years ago I discovred your products. I wrote a letter then telling you how great they worked.  Back then I  was a member of the Action Shooting team of the US Army.
I have sense retired from the army, but not shooting.
I have used KG products almost exclusively sense then.  I am now
a law enforcement firearms instructor. I highly recomend your
products.
KG products make short work of difficult to clean AR15 style rifles, Carbon, led, and copper are easily removed with little scrubbing.

I have a 308 rifle I purchased in 1990.  This rifle has had thousands of rounds put through it.  It is also the rifle I bet my life on for STAR Team (Special Tactics and Rseponse) call outs.  I use KG exclusively on it.  The bore stays clean, bright and the rifleing sharp. It still shoots subminute groups.
I had the barrel treated with KG Gun-Kote when I got the rifle. After all these years there has been no chipping pealing or rust anyware on the areas covered by Gun-Kote.

I believe KG products are the reason this rifle has performed so well for so long.

I stopped by your booth at the SHOT show in Orlando.  I enjoyed speaking with Joe Fazio and seeing the new KG products.

My best wishes for your future product success.  Thank you for your excellent product and support of the shooting industry.

                      Sincerely
                    Darryl Powell

To everyone over at KG Industries c/o Joe Fazio,

This is the first time we ever used KG’s GUN KOTE.  I’ve used a bunch of other products out there, but nothing we’ve used so far comes even close to this finish.  We are very impressed with the quality.  We’ve finished several of our custom rifles using your KOTE and have placed it in every scenario we could think of at the moment and it kept up with each rigorous test we placed the finish in.  We are sending one of our LE/Mil rifles covered with your KOTE out to Hawaii to see how the finish will withstand the salty seas out there.  We hope to do more business with you and keep up the great quality in your products.  You’ve got us sold.
Thank you,

To everyone involved at M&R.. I would like to let you know how happy I am with the service and workmanship that you guys did on my AR-15. All of my co-workers just drool at it every time they see it. I would like to attest to the durability of the diamondkote. On June 15 our SWAT team was on a high risk drug search warrant in one of our local trailer parks. Upon making entry through one of the windows of the trailer I encountered one of the suspects that we were looking for. As he turned to run he swung open the freezer door on his refrigerator. I was in stride after him and used my rifle to block the door from hitting me in the face. After the whole job was over I was clearing my weapons and noticed that there was not even a scratch on the diamondkoted parts of my rifle but there was a dent in the magazine near the magazine well. It seemed that there should have been at least a scratch there but there was not.
This stuff is awesome and it has definitely made my rifle better looking and seems to be pretty tough after being put through some moderate abuse.

Thanks,

Greetings Adam,

Attached are a couple of photos of the exhaust that you guys did an EXCELLENT job of coating for me. Also attached are pictures of the bike. Unfortunately the pictures of the bike are with the exhaust uncoated. The bike will be done in the next 3 weeks so I will send pictures of the completed bike with the coated exhaust installed once it is. Thanks again for the spectacular service and you definitely have a new long term customer. I have dealt with at least 30 different vendors in building this bike and I am not exaggerating one bit when I say that the service that you and KG Industries has given me is the best of all of them, bar none. As a matter of fact I hope to model my business after yours in terms of honesty, quality, and overall service.

Mr Fazio,
I recieved your shipment today in which you included a bottle of oil as a "bonus". I thank you very much. I had been short a bottle of KG-12, and this completed the order. Actually, it more than completed the order. I had received the "missing" bottle of KG-12 a couple of days ago. Perhaps someone else noticed the shortage and sent it to me. Now I have an extra bottle. I would be glad to pay for it since I will no doubt use it. I've tried your products and am very satisfied. If you still have my credit card number on file, please feel free to use it to cover the cost of this extra bottle of KG-12. Thank you for your prompt attention in resolving my previous concern, and the extra effort to actually call me. You and your company are very good to work with. I have already posted some positive comments about your products on several shooting forums I belong to. Again, thank you and DO charge my credit card for the extra bottle of KG-12.
sincerely,
Blaine L Nickerson

I just wanted to write to let you know what fantastic products you offer at KG industries. I found your company through word of mouth. When I called your wife, she was kind enough to fully explain your product line, their applications, and necessary equipment needed. I was looking for an alternative to bluing, as many of the firearms in my collection were showing signs of wear. I was assured by your company that with the right equipment and a little practice I could produce finishes exceeding traditional bluing with varying choices of colors.
Needless to say, you were absolutely right.
My first firearm I refinished was a LLama 1911 clone. I used your K-Phos prep and mil-spec OD coating. I was astounded! It looked just like a factory production gun and the finish seems to be impervious to holster wear, solvents, sweat etc.

Since my first piece I have refinished Glock slides, two of my kalashnikovs, Two of my AR-15s and several magazines Now, what started as a hobby for myself has peaked the interest of many others in my local shooting community.
Every time I bring a finished piece into my local gun shop to show the employees, I get a crowd of customers asking, "can you do that to my gun.?" I have done several fiends firearms and all of a sudden, I’m quite popular. Again I wish to thank you for all your wonderful customer service (answering of my millions of questions) and your excellent line of products.

You definitely have a customer for life.

Sincerely,

Morris Rogers Delaware,

Joe, I want to thank you very much for all of your help. I had a very good talk with Rich about the brass problem and about your Bullet Kote. I have been using your products for about 4 yrs on bullets and firearms and am very pleased with everything I have done. I did 2 1911's in black and green about 2 years before Wilson and several rifles so I was happy to find out my problem was not with your product, Thank You again, Rocky Vitiritto,Des Moines, Iowa

Howdy Joe
Business has been good lately and have not had one single gun brought back because of the finish wearing wearing off or rusting. Thats pretty good for 342 guns I have refinished in the last 2 years. It could be more but I lost track after 300. Not bad for part time. Thanks for a great product.

Thanks

I've dropped, hit or smacked it against every hard object between Lino Lakes MN and Montana shooting Coyotes. KG Rules. Durable and great looking

Comments: Mr. Fazio,
I could not be more pleased with the colors and finishes I am able to produce with Gun-Kote. Will you in the future be expanding the present color chart to include all colors available? I have no basis on which to choose between Flat Earth and Service Brown. Which would be better for mixing off shades? Also I need to know the product number for a pint of yellow before my next order. I did a light overspray of Gold on Gunmetal Blue with an airbrush and created a true dark bronze metalic effect. Everyone loves it. Thanks for giving us a product that lives up to it's advertising.

Joe,
This is a 1930 cast iron Zenith Carburetor on a Model A Ford of the same year. Its original finish was Japan Black and like most paint does not last. Your Gun-Kote is a super product and it was the easiest thing to apply. Cooking or baking the Carburetor on a piece of sheet metal on the gas grill was simple, easy and quick. I did not incur any runs, sags, drips, flaking, color blotches, or any other application malady. I also realize that this is not a smooth, polished finish like on most firearms and the rough cast exterior may have helped, but it came out perfect. I applied the first coat at the thickness recommended and after a day I applied a second thicker coat to give the depth and look of near the original finish. Needless to say that I am very happy with the results and gasoline does not faze the Gun-Kote. Take a close look at the seam between the top and bottom half of the carburetor and you will see the weeping of gasoline. I will replace the gasket but these 75 year old parts are not always true.
Rest assured that I will pass this product along to my local antique car club. We have a little over 200 members and we all have the same finish problem with our carburetors.

Regards,
Douglas Cox

Subject: Hello Again Joe

This testimonial is from a customer who had a pretty tough time the 1st time out using Gun Kote.  However, after sharing some factory tips with him, he turned out a great piece.  You will notice in the testimonial different bake times.... please do not use this method without talking to Chris or Joe at the factory.
Hello again Joe,

Went ahead with attempt #3 and things appear to have worked out this time around.   I degreased the parts using the KG-3, then K-Phos'ed and applied your Gun-Kote.   I baked the parts at 345 degrees for 2 hours as we discussed and the finish really came out looking good.   I tried the tape test (in torture fashion) using duct tape down the entire length of the slide and ripped if off about five or six times without affecting the finish at all.   When exposing the stainless steel on the flats of the slide it seemed to sand off fairly easy though I was using a coarse sanding board and you mentioned that the 1600 series with the teflon was a little softer.   I'm looking forward to seeing how it wears.
My I again sincerely Thank You for all of your help, customer service like what you've offered isn't very common anymore these days and I really appreciated it.   I enjoyed talking with you and look forward to working with your other products that you offered and had sent out and may I sincerely Thank You for those as well.

Dear KG Industires,
Just a note to let you know I received my custom fiberglass stocked Mauser-98 Barreled action that you Teflon coated for me, and I am very pleased with the look of the finished product.
Having dealt in the high grade custom gun arena for well over 20-plus years, I pay close attention to detail and am very critical of all aspects of work that go into the building of a custom rifle. The two main concerns I had regarding a Teflon coat was that it could resemble a satin rust blue finish and not take on the appearance of paint. The other concern was a finish that would hold up to the worst weather Alaska's coast could dish out and not rust or wear off.
Well, I am very happy to say that, regarding these concerns, your product is better than I ever expected and I am looking forward to doing business with you in the future. I would recommend your service to anyone wanting a superb looking finish that will hold up to any weather condition on the planet. Also, one other thing, when I contacted your service line, the person on the phone handling my questions was very kind, courteous, and extremely helpful.

Thanks again,
G.A. Ward
